A digital front door for a growing solar company.
Concept build: a marketing site with a structured lead-capture flow, replacing an approach built entirely on walk-ins and unstructured WhatsApp enquiries.
A growing solar company needed a credible digital presence and a way to capture leads beyond walk-ins and word-of-mouth WhatsApp messages. Interested customers had no consistent way to see product options, get a rough sense of pricing, or leave their details without a phone call during business hours.
Every enquiry that came in through WhatsApp lived only in that conversation thread — nothing was logged, nothing was structured, and nothing prompted a follow-up if the conversation went quiet. Interest was being generated but not captured, and there was no way to tell, at a glance, how many people had enquired in a given week or what they were actually asking about most often.
The concept centres on a high-performance marketing site that establishes credibility fast — clear product information, real project photography placeholders, and a straightforward explanation of how solar installation works for a first-time buyer who has never gone through the process.
Sitting underneath that is a structured lead-capture flow: a short form that asks the handful of questions a sales team actually needs — property type, rough budget band, timeline — before handing the conversation to WhatsApp with all of that context pre-filled, so the first message a salesperson sees is already qualified rather than a blank "hi, I saw your website" that starts the conversation from zero every time.
A digital front door that turns interest into structured enquiries — every visitor who wants to talk to sales arrives in WhatsApp with context attached, instead of a cold "hi" that starts the qualification conversation from zero. Because every step of the flow is instrumented, the sales team can also see where visitors drop off, which is impossible to measure when the whole funnel lives inside private WhatsApp threads.
Why this is labelled a concept, not a delivered result
This project is a concept build, not a completed client engagement — the design and the approach are real, but no live company currently runs on it. We keep it in our work section because it demonstrates exactly how we think through a lead-capture problem for an energy or solar business, and because building it forced us to work through the same decisions — form length, what to ask before handing off to WhatsApp, how to keep the site fast on a typical Zambian mobile connection — that a real client engagement in this space would require.
If your business fits this pattern — strong offline reputation, growing demand, no structured way to capture online interest — this concept is the starting point we would bring to a real scoping conversation, adjusted to your specific products, pricing model and sales process.
